Product Information
A cross between Defender and Asteroids, Freedom Fighters! is Odyssey 2's only side scrolling space shooter. Challenging the player's dexterity, one joystick moves a starship around a fixed screen battling alien warships and drone mines, while a second joystick provides thrust. Players can blast aliens for points, but big scores come from rescuing Earth prisoners by touching the purple "confinement crystals." If it wasn't for the unwieldy dual-control system, this would have been one of Odyssey 2's finest solitaire games.
