    The LT1028 opamps arrived in perfect condition as always. I have no idea if these opamps are genuine Linear Technology items, but they sound the same as the genuine versions I've had for 15 years. Excellent opamps for my headphone amplifier! Such transparency and clarity! SO quiet! As far as being suitable for quality sound as I'm using them, they are fabulous, great value for me and a friend, though the model number came off very easily in my first samples. Don't put IPA on them.

    I have to admit I did wonder if these are genuine LT1028s or copies that might not perform as well as my 15 year old genuine versions. Especially curious when the labels just washed straight off when I cleaned the pins with isopropyl alcohol. They sound extremely transparent just as the originals do so far, although they appear to draw a lot less current, running barely even slightly warm. My older versions run considerably warmer to the touch. However, I'm very happy with them for now.
