Seller Notes: “An attractive antique spill vase / match holder, featuring a dapper gentleman chatting to a young ... “An attractive antique spill vase / match holder, featuring a dapper gentleman chatting to a young lady while her friend naps. Skilfully cast porcelain with impressive detail, complete with metal parasol. Marked on the underside with the Söhne anchor, and the EB mark of Ernst Bohne. We believe the piece dates to the late 1880/90's, but have been unable to confirm a more exact dateStands approximately 12 cm's (4.75") in height. The piece is in very good condition, a little light dust from display, there may possibly be a tiny chip or production flaw, to the last finger of the gentleman's hand where he holds the umbrella, but it is very minor, as shown in the pictures. All proceeds from this sale go to charity, supporting the work of the Devon Air Ambulance.”
