Buttons to power on the device and to open the disc tray can also be found on the top. On the back of the Sony PS1 you will find the location of the input for the power supply in addition to the television hookup inputs. This PlayStation gaming device was one of the first systems to have each video game available on a disc rather than a cartridge, meaning they could be more immersive and more colorful in regard to graphics. Although the PS1 device is primarily a gaming system, it can also play sounds and music from audio CDs. Listen to your music in the programmed order or repeat a song, repeat the disk, or shuffle between tracks. It comes with a wired controller and the cords you need to plug it into your entertainment system.
