Cryptography and key management are also addressed, with a focus on secure routing and secure location and secure data aggregation. The following two chapters show how placement should be performed to achieve acceptable coverage and present routing algorithms from a WSN's perspective, typically, secure routing, geographic routing, energy aware routing and quality-of service (QoS)-based routing. Chapter VIII offers insights into WSN protocols. QoS is a must for networks, Chapter IX reveals QoS metrics for WSNs as compared to other networks. The final chapters discuss research topics and several simulation tools used in studying and analyzing WSN environments. The book is rounded out by two appendices listing the must-know WSN manufacturers and datasheets.
