I had to remove it from each of the head sets otherwise my kids ears were filled with black disintegrated foam. For the record the earphones were still sealed new, so maybe this was just an issue of poor build quality from Coloud/Nokia.

For the record all of the earphones were still sealed brand new, so I'm not sure what to make of the foam issue.
