This excellent eBay seller promptly mailed this photo on a postcard for Hadrian's Wall that the Romans built across one of the narrowest parts of the island of Great Britain (from Bowness-on-Solway in the west - near Carlisle - to Wallsend on the River Tyne in the east). Just visiting the area for a little more that one day started to give me a sense of how much had to go into building, maintain and arming this wall with soldiers. This is not flat land the wall crosses. Thank You so very much!!!
