This was nearly perfect: I had a 1985 vintage Commodore 128 from my college years that was missing only the video cable. Purchased the connector cable with composite output along with the composite to HDMI converter box, plugged them together, connected the HDMI converter to an HD LCD monitor, and the C-128 booted and displayed a signal! There is noticeable banding which is normal without modifying the hardware.
