Product Information

Your objective in Moonsweeper is to reach and rescue miners stranded on moons in the four galaxies of Quadrant Jupiter. As you pilot the U.S.S. Moonsweeper through outer space, waiting to reach a moon on which to land, you must avoid or destroy meteors, comets, alien ships, and space debris.<br><br>After landing on a moon, you will fly along its surface and avoid or shoot towers, alien Surface Destroyers, Orbital Launch Ships and Lunar Satellites. You must also avoid enemy firepower. Once you have rescued five miners, you will want to fly through a grouping of Accelerator Rings. This will give you enough speed to break away from the moon's gravity and blast off into outer space and on to the next moon or galaxy.<br><br>The ship you control is outfitted with an instrument panel that displays the following readouts: remaining moons in galaxy, radar, reserve ships, velocity, bank indicator, score, miners rescued, and fuel. Your ship also has force field capabilities, but using the force field hastens the rate of fuel consumption. You will receive a 1/3 tank of fuel each time you complete a moon. Moons are color-coded to indicate level of difficulty.
