    I has my doubts when the item was delivered. The outside (shipping) box was broken and taped together with tears in the carboard. The inside box that the scale came in was also ripped up. I inserted batteries to make sure the scale wasn't broken. Since this is a Christmas gift, I can only hope it continues to work.
