Product Information
Crystal Mines II places you in control of a mining robot that excavates gems and precious minerals from mines while avoiding monsters, falling boulders, radioactivity, lava and all sorts of other nasty problems. Each level is filled with rocks, dirt and other obstacles, as well as a few scattered gems. You have an indicator that tells you how many gems must be collected before you can advance to the next level. Some dirt and rock blocks, when blasted, will yield power-ups and bonus items. You can pick up things like bullet power-ups, copper for extra points and explosives. Other rock blocks hide monsters that you must deal with.<br><br>Your robot is initially equipped with a laser that can blast through dirt and rocks and kill enemies. The number of shots required depends on the object being blasted. Dirt can be blasted away with one shot, while rocks may take three or four shots to crumble. Your gun has a limited range, and you must guide your robot to collect bullet power-up icons to increase its range.<br><br>You have an infinite amount of robots with which to complete the game. Should your robot encounter an untimely demise through a monster encounter or by being crushed, another will take its place, and the level will be reset. The game includes a password feature that lets you proceed directly to any level by using the appropriate password.
