Before even plugging it in, I opened the unit to test the socketed chips using a Chip Tester Pro V2. They all passed. Then I pulled the DOS/KERNAL EPROM and tried to read it using a T48 chip programmer. I got Pin #1 errors for any 27128 EPROM model selected. I programmed a blank 27128 EPROM with the appropriate BIN file code, and installed the EPROM. I am so glad it ended up with someone with the skill set to fix it. Also, I thought retrobrighting would restore the case, but I have personally never done it. They were very communicative and seemed to be following the tracking closer than I was. They followed usps’s processes and when there was nothing else to do they refunded me without me even asking. I trust this seller and would buy from them again. Next time though, I won’t be cheap about the shipping. Media mail apparently isn’t what it used to be.Warhammer 40k Book Lot of 9 including codex, base rules, and painting guides. (#388180181299)
