Mit ihren Operetten und Mannerchoeren in Luxemburgisch und anderen Kompositionen wurzelte sie in der regionalen Musiktradition, mit ihren deutschen und franzoesischen Liedern sowie ihren Orchesterwalzern suchte sie dagegen Gehoer beim internationalen Publikum. Von der Avantgarde distanzierte sie sich, da ihr das Publikum und die Demokratisierung von Musik am Herzen lagen. Das vorliegende Buch ist die erste Monografie zu Lou Koster und wirft zugleich Schlaglichter auf die weitgehend noch unerforschte Musikgeschichte Luxemburgs.
