El presente trabajo tiene como proposito ilustrar la importancia que tienen las "Tecnicas y metodos empleados para la elaboracion de perfiles y descripcion de puestos de trabajo basados en competencias" para lograr una gestion de recursos humanos acorde con las necesidades del entorno. En cumplimiento con el objetivo planteado, se revisaron algunos de los conceptos mas relevantes que enmarcan la gestion por competencias y los perfiles de puestos basados en competencias como punto de apoyo para el desarrollo y comprension del presente trabajo. En el marco de los anteriores lineamientos mediante la propuesta objeto de estudio, se busca ofrecer una herramienta de consulta que ademas de orientar el direccionamiento del recurso humano, a partir de los requerimientos del mercado laboral, que ademas contribuyan a mejorar la gestion administrativa y en consecuencia, a generar ventajas en mercados altamente competitivos y en constante cambio, que contribuyan a aumentar la productividad y optimizar la interaccion con los clientes internos y externos de la organizacion favoreciendo el desarrollo de lineamientos que permitan establecer perfiles de puestos de trabajo basados en competencias.
