Utilize MoonBase Commander's turn-based strategy design to lead one of four factions in a race to gather resources and wage war against opponents. Build and launch new units from your Hub, expand control across planet surfaces, defend outposts and attack enemy bases, traverse landscapes of sea, air, and land, and collect energy to fuel your weapons. Each faction has a unique interface, but units have equal functionality differentiated only by appearance.<br><br>Emphasis is on playability, with simplified management techniques geared to challenge veteran gamers and provide a quick learning curve for novices. As a pilot for Niceco, Dewulf Industrial, System7, or Team Alpha, you must build a strong military presence while controlling vital energy pools in single- or multiplayer action. Both campaign and challenge modes are available, the latter offering 16 increasingly difficult missions with bonuses awarded for efficiency.<br><br>MoonBase Commander includes a map editor for designing custom scenarios with options for size, terrain levels (water, ground, plateau, and mountain), energy, starting positions (for up to four players), and team play. Anti-air units, cluster bombs, EMPs, crawlers, viruses, and mines are but some of the weapons available to wreck enemy positions.
