Material appears in the form of "survival" questions in two gameplay modes: short game and full game. Both modes include a round of ten multiple choice questions (four possible answers), with the full game mode offering an additional challenge round of seven topic-specific questions for players who finish with positive point totals in the initial round.<br><br>Up to three human contestants (no computer-controlled players) can compete for a chance to win points. Players "buzz-in" using the keyboard to answer questions on survival, escape, disasters, general knowledge and more. The ten highest scores are tracked, with entries from both modes. Basic round points are randomly awarded from 500 to 5000 per question, while the challenge mode uses a progressive scale for correct responses and a reset-to-zero penalty as in The Weakest Link.
