    The package came very quickly. I’m in California and it came from New York. The box was damaged, so I was nervous opening it, but everything seemed to be in fine shape, apart from a slight dent in the actual furnace . I sealed the fibers, and put on two coats of refractory cement, looking forward to starting it up,

    The tongs in this particular kit did not suffice for all the lifting of the crucible. Strongly recommend getting another pair of crucible tongs alongside this kit. Before your first melt make sure all the wool on the inside is adjusted neatly, some paint will peel on the furnace in your first use

    Happy with item but unable to get temp any higher than 1200 degrees F. Since I melt only aluminum it is not an issue, but I expected it to be able to reach 1700 if need be.
