    Was not Jane Birkin. Fake! Seller said she bought one once!!! He still has others listed falsely using her name. eBay had to refund my money! He refused to pay return shipping. You could buy similar to it in USA for $20. Don’t trust this seller for anything they sell! Very dishonest seller.

    As I explained to the client, this basket is traditional Portuguese. We call it the Jane Birkin basket, because Jane Birkin used one of these baskets, given to her many years ago on a vacation in Portugal. This basket is known worldwide as the Jane Birkin basket. The Portuguese basket became famous because Jane Birkin wore it on several occasions.

    Nice quality. Packaging was protective. The tracking info is with a Portuguese carrier so there is no translation and the handover to USPS was not visible but other than that, I'm very happy with this purchase and seller.
