Reviews
After more than 20 years at the top of his craft, Colin has developed an almost uncanny ability to pre-visualise a photograph well before he trips the shutter ... This is a rare and beautiful record, a work of art, a magic portal through which we enter a higher spiritual plane.

Synopsis
The finest volume of Highland landscape photography ever produced. This stunning volume contains Colin Prior's most distinctive panoramic images, from all across the Highlands. Scotland: The Wild Places is about landscape photography at its limits. The collection is organized around the solstices and equinoxes and dramatically illustrates the extremes of light at these turning points of the year. Each seasonal shift in the position of sunrise and sunset results in an otherworldly transformation of the landscape. The images verge on obsession - Prior camped out on the remotest peaks in Scotland to obtain them. Shooting at the magic hours of dusk and dawn, he is able to catch those rare moments when composition, fine light and colour combine to create a remarkable image. Each photograph uniquely captures fleeting moments of nature, which will never repeat themselves exactly. As the information revolution gathers apace our lives are continuously being shaped by technology and a greater dependency on computers. In this world of virtual reality there is an even greater need for humankind to touch the natural world and experience the peace and beauty, space and silence of wild places., Compiled during the last four years, this latest collection of panoramic images by award-winning photographer Colin Prior includes unique and spectacular natural events in some of Colin's favourite locations.

- h***c (1134)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseI will say that the seller did give me a refund. However, it was extremely inconvenient because they failed to disclose in the listing like you were supposed to that. This was for a region two DVD, which does not play in the United States. That was not in the listing so I ended up ordering it and then having to request a refund, which was just an inconvenience that could’ve been avoided if they had listed it correctly.
