It took a few days for the clock to get into it's own rhythm. (I was ready to return it right away, but then decided to keep testing it.) It is attractive and relatively compact. I don't want batteries, so it is a plus for me as a wind-up with an actual ringing bell and not an annoying electronic beep for an alarm. 'Will keep and use it, but it does seem to lose about 10 minutes over a 24 hr. period. Winding it up does take some physical effort, though setting the time and alarm are easy.
