Works well with high tensile steels, eg ASA4340 / 4140 or case hardened steel. Has better strength and durability than Leaded Gun Metal aka LG. Needs to be lubricated in service as it does not possess the Anti-seize properties of LG. For turning and parting off, use a positive raked tool. Drill with a good quality HSS bit.
