Hello! The tongue of these skates are leather and are not rotted out as you are describing. They are vintage, probably 30 years old or older. The lining of the tongue is man made and cracked, which does not affect the quality or function of the skate. I have told you that you are more than welcomed to return this item, but you keep sending me threatening messages and I'm not sure why.
