As soon as I connected the speaker and turned it on, the system made a strange noise and blew out. Everything relating to the woofer was dead. I then reconnected my old speaker as a test. It didn’t work anymore either. So, I’m pretty sure that my newly purchased speaker works, but the system powering it is shot. Any suggestions? The first person I contacted about replacement speakers for my 3-way cabinets wanted mad measurements and made it sound like I really shouldn't modify my cabinet to make anything fit. Quickly turned out that after all the measurements, multiple mods were already needed, and that's just the way it is. Guru here encouraged me to mod my stuff, which I'm way happy he did.* It's easy, and it makes you mad proud to fix your own cabinets. In short, hit up the Guru.* Thanks again!
