My 10" Jamo in basement set up hits harder. This sub plays lower / deeper notes cleaner and with less distortion at higher volume than the Jamo but doesn't slam hard notes like the vega did. When running it with my svs pb2000's in my ht set up I can't tell that its on. It came up short of being a comparable replacement for the vega. The first person I contacted about replacement speakers for my 3-way cabinets wanted mad measurements and made it sound like I really shouldn't modify my cabinet to make anything fit. Quickly turned out that after all the measurements, multiple mods were already needed, and that's just the way it is. Guru here encouraged me to mod my stuff, which I'm way happy he did.* It's easy, and it makes you mad proud to fix your own cabinets. In short, hit up the Guru.* Thanks again!
