The watch is featured in a titanium protective case that guards the quartz movement from damage. The watch includes a reserve battery in case it goes more than 180 days without receiving sufficient daylight to recharge. A low-battery reserve indicator will show in the unlikely occurrence that it sits in darkness for too long.In addition to their innovative power supply, all Citizen watches feature notable advances in timekeeping. The clock and the perpetual calendar are both radio controlled, which means that they are always perfectly in synchronization across five time zones and other dates like daylight savings time. This is called the atomic timekeeping system and it works all across Europe, North America, and Japan.These Citizen watches include an integral 1-second chronograph that can measure as long as 60 minutes. The outer ring of the dial has tachymeter markings for convenient estimation of distance and average speed. The luminous white chronograph hour, minute, and second hands are all high contrast and easy to read. There is an alarm function as well as a number of other programmable operations.The solar-powered Eco-Drive and the water-resistant titanium case mean that this is a fantastic watch for outdoor men.
