AVOID these thread winders, they are useless!!! The thread winders are cut from bone, but are only finished on one side, they are very rough on the reverse side as well as the edges. They are not appropriate for holding any thread but the coarsest string or twine. When I wrote to the seller about this, her response was that I should use sandpaper and finish them myself. Then she suggested that I purchase other items from her. Talk about gall!!! I would never buy anything from this seller again!
