- l***n (292)- Feedback left by buyer.More than a year agoVerified purchaseOne of the potential causes of Atari 5200 Joystick failure is damage to the wiring in the cable leading from the player to the joystick. Replacing the cable may be your only option. This 9FT replacement works well. However, the wire coloring does not match the wire coloring on the original so I highly recommend getting a multimeter to test continuity, like I did, to be sure which colored wire goes where before starting the repair. My 5200 joystick now works like new thanks to this replacement.

Wrapped in sealed plastic so I know it was new. Came shipped in a padded envelope and then was wrapped again in cardboard, exactly what I was looking for.
