2015 release. Sanjay Chitale made it his mission to help Sandeep Chowta, close friend and Bollywood music director, meet his American jazz idols. Sandeep's dream turned into an artistic pilgrimage for the two Indian musicians. They traveled across the US for two years, making music with a host of jazz legends, including Andy LaVerne and John Scofield. The collaboration yielded American Pilgrimage, an album of Indian melody and jazz improvisation - a cross-cultural intersection seldom heard in the jazz world.
