It requires 3 batteries. If you are looking for one that plugs into the wall, this will not work. I would leave 5 stars, however the item sent was not what described. I reached out to the seller just to let him know to update the description for other people who might only want a plug-in doorbell, however, did not receive a response..

When I received the package, it was open, and it had a sticker from the Post Office saying the contents were missing. I contacted the seller, and they issued a new replacement shipment.
