About this product
Product Information
Go on tour with rock 'n' roll super group Journey in Journey Escape for the Atari 2600. Singer Steve Perry, lead guitarist Neal Schon and the rest of the guys are trying to make it home from their latest gig. You must guide all five band members (one at a time) to their Scarab Escape Vehicle.

You begin the game with $50,000. As you run back and forth and up and down the playfield, you must avoid contact with photographers and groupies, all of whom are running down from the top of the screen. If you let one of these pests touch you, you'll be slowed down, and you'll lose points. If you don't make it to the escape vehicle within the allotted amount of time, the game is over.

Occasionally, while you are trying to dodge the swarming hordes of hangers-on, your manager will appear on screen. If you make contact with him, he will give you extra money, and you will be invincible until you reach the Scarab. If you manage to grab onto a roadie, you will be invincible for a short period of time.

Once you have maneuvered each of the five band members to their escape vehicle, the game is over.
