About the author.Michael Plante is a recovered alcoholic and drug addict with more than 10 years of sobriety. Once homeless and living on the streets of Toronto, Canada Michael survived a 25 year addiction and now lives in Kirkfield Ontario with his wife Cheryl. The stories and poetry reflect his journey throughout his first 10 years of sobriety. These pieces reflect the raw pain and turmoil of early recovery to serenity, peace and love as a result of the 12-step program. "I've had the honor and pleasure of being a caregiver to my mother who battled with dementia. Throughout my addiction she stood beside me never giving up hope on her son.
