Marci Peschke has cooked up a fabulous story with Kylie Jean being such a sweet and likable character. I had not read any of the previous Kylie Jean books, but this book was easy to follow and made me hungry for more!, The Cupcake Queen is a fun, charming story with some valuable examples of kindness, respect, and charity for others. I enjoyed Kylie Jean, the main character. . . .She's smart and ambitious, respectful to adults, and she cares about others. . . .Overall, this is a smoothly written story that shows readers an example of how even a young child can help change the world for someone else., This chapter book is right up my six year olds alley. . . .The story is written simply enough she can understand it plus it holds her interest. It's a cute book I would recommend for girls 6-8 years old., This is such a sweet and lovely book for girls! . . .The drawings in this book are so cute. I also loved all the little extras: the questions to talk about the plot, the cupcake recipe. Highly recommended!, My students love all the Kylie Jean books and are always asking about new ones. I like that the main character is a girl with her own ideas and a social conscious. Keep 'em coming!, The Kylie Jean series is a fun and shiny choice for little girls just starting chapter books. She has a wonderful extended family surrounding her as well as great people at school and in the community. This wholesome book is full of good values that show kids how to be a bright example to those around them., Kylie Jean shows children that she can find a way to make money on her own. It teaches children to be independent with themselves in the case of money. It also teaches children to manage their earnings. . . .I like the cute illustrations all over the book. And I like the interactive pages which let readers answer and discuss the given question. There is also a cupcake recipe!, I will most likely purchase. Sassy girl with a supportive family that comes up with her own solutions to problems? Loved it!, ...I love the little extras at the end of this book, especially the recipe for the cupcakes that Kylie Jean makes. There are also creative writing type and questioning exercises for teachers to incorporate this book into their classes., Kylie Jean, Cupcake Queen is a cute, girly book aimed at early readers. Short chapters and large printing make this an easy read, perfect for kids just starting out. . . .This is a good book for girls to see that they can (and should) try new things and learn new skills., I liked the part when they had the garage sale and Kylie sold cupcakes. Because I love all of the flavors that you had in the story. This is one of the best books I've read and I want to buy the rest of the series!
