NBA Live 97 is the first basketball game by EA Sports for the Sega Saturn. Full NBA licensing is included allowing for almost all of the real players to be included along with their teams and team logos. Standard modes of play are featured, such as season, playoffs, and exhibition. During games players have a large number of play options available. Both the offense and defense have plays that can be called on the fly. Throughout season play statistics are tracked in numerous categories and league leaders are kept track of as well. Also, rosters can be tampered with in a variety of ways: you can create players, trade players, and pick up free agents.
