Its 80 GB capacity makes this Western Digital hard drive ideal for upgrading older notebook models or plug-and-play enclosures. This notebook hard drive uses a SATA interface that gives it a 1.5 Gb/s transfer rate. Western Digital’s WhisperDrive technology makes the Western Digital WD800BEVS access data quietly and also saves battery life. This Western Digital hard drive is protected by Western Digital’s Shockguard technology. Additionally, the incorporated Securepark technology prolongs the life of this notebook hard drive by parking the recording head off the disk surface, when not in operation.
