This work contains 20 half-day and day loops planned in conjunction with the National Park and local riders. The distances vary from 6 to 35 miles, with the majority being between 12 and 20 miles long, and every level of ability is catered for. The routes are grouped into regions of the Yorkshire Dales: the north, east, west and the Howgill Fells. Each group is linked together with suggestions as to how they may be joined to create tailor-made rides to suit individual riders. Some of the rides are highlighted on full colour maps based on 1:50,000 Ordnance Survey maps. The book also contains information on equipment, preparation, trailside emergency repairs, access, accommodation and bike shops in the different areas.
