Secrets and lies heap up until her father loses everything in the stock market crash and Clair becomes entangled in the burlesque world in an effort to save her family and herself. Ultimately, both Anne and Clair--two very different women living in very different eras--attain true fulfillment . . . with some help from their silver shoes.

Great book. If you are a Denver fan or enjoyed the 70s music scene, this is the book you need to buy. The insights of what was happening while we all bought the records and watched the tv specials and went to the concerts. The pictures are great though there could have been more. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed John's music and the overall vibe of the mid 70s music scene.
