Bottom line: it reduces the hum to a vanishingly low level. Can't hear the hum from my big chair, not even from 4' in front of the speakers. In fact, I must almost press my face against the drivers to detect any residual hum. I can't detect any loss of image quality, sound staging or detail. There is a very slight lowering of the volume (Insertion loss) Not an issue. The Iso-Max is a keeper
