Product Information
For many millennia powerful and just kings have ruled the world. These kings maintained peace and prosperity over the land and kept vigil against the minions of darkness and evil. But hordes of monsters swarmed over the lands and plunged the world into an age of darkness. Now, after 10,000 years, a king has returned to reclaim the land from darkness.<br><br>Viewing the game's 2D world from a perpendicular perspective, players must lead Rygar in a series of stages moving from left to right and defeating or evading all enemies. Along the way players may come across artifacts that will earn them extra points or enhanced fighting abilities. Rygar can run, jump, and throw his spiked shield to attack enemies. The shield travels a short distance ahead of Rygar before returning to his arm. Rygar can also jump and throw his shield, though when he attacks he stops gaining height on his jump. Whenever enemy units touch Rygar, he dies. He'll also die if he falls into holes. The game ends when players lose all their lives.
