This slilcer as rubber coated handles which makes holding on to it easier. The red color looks good among my kitchen gadgets. It's sharp and cuts 12 thinner slices, so apples pieces are easier to eat. Good value for a good price.

It takes a bit of effort to get started, but it is very good at isolating the core and producing nice slices. It works best if you center it properly on the core. The slicer itself seems pretty sturdy and looks great.
