It's necessary to take the handle off and rest it on the tank for the skirt to reach the floor. But I had to do that with the other cover I had, so that's no problem. She doesn't sit solidly on the vacuum. She is balancing on the top. So if you have children that would be forever bumping it, that could be a problem for you. Just wanted to mention that she is made for the handle to slide up inside her "stomach" She has a lot of stuffing so the hole may not be evident to you. Just reach up and put your hand into the bottom and you will feel the space. There is enough stuffing that it will hug the handle. The only vacuums they will not fit are the ones with the motor in the handle. Thanks again!
