It may have worked fine the way it came in, but I just wanted to be sure. If you have an mk4 vw you NEED this; only a matter of time before the small pipe gets brittle and breaks; that and the 3-way 5/16ths connection right by it which can be replaced with a cheap hardware store part or a fancier brass item
