Hello I used this P32 on a Vintage Ludwig Classic Field Snare with a P85 throw off with gut holes. I used 1.6mm weed eater string for cat gut. Worked great. The P32 FITTED IN THE HOLES OF THE REMOVED P34 BUTT PLATE WITHOUT DRILLING ANY NEW HOLES IN DRUM.(which I'm not a fan of) Thx
