Synopsis
The Alliance woke Captain John "Black Jack" Geary from cryogenic sleep to take command of the fleet in the century-long conflict against the Syndicate Worlds. Now, Admiral Geary's victory has earned him the adoration of the people--and the enmity of politicians convinced that a living hero can be a very inconvenient thing... The war may be over, but Geary and his newly christened First Fleet have been ordered back into action to investigate the aliens occupying the far side of Syndic space and determine how much of a threat they represent to the Alliance. And while the Syndic Worlds are no longer united, individually they may be more dangerous than ever before. Geary knows that members of the military high command and the government question his loyalty to the Alliance and fear him staging a coup--so he can't help but wonder if the fleet is being deliberately sent on a suicide mission..., View our feature on Jack Campbell's The Lost Fleet: Beyond the Frontier: Dreadnaught . I thought I was ordering a paper back, especially considering the price was only around $10. I'm not sure if they shipped a hard cover by mistake. But I am more than happy to accept it. The description wasn't clear on what it was. So this could very well have been the intended item. I was not very impressed with their customer service at all. It took them days to respond and they didn't seem to care about the delay in shipping. I might purchase again, but I would be cautious as it was delayed.

The book was exactly as described and arrived quickly. The only problem is a recurring one with this seller and other similar sellers - the book is poorly packaged in a plastic envelope and gets heavily bumped in shipping. I would like to see the books wrapped before shipment, but I understand this can't be done for cost reason. Luckily it isn't an expensive book, and I will continue to purchase basic books from this seller. A+++++
