About this product

Product Information

A classic series that has inspired millions of readers worldwide From the New York Times bestselling author of Redeeming Love and A Voice in the Wind comes the thrilling conclusion to the Mark of the Lion series. With Hadassah confined to the cells below the arena, facing death once again, and his sister Julia dying of a strange new illness and longing for a forgiveness beyond her reach, Marcus goes in search of God. Meanwhile, Atretes, the Germanic warrior, vows to move heaven and earth to find his son--the baby he thought was dead and whose life Hadassah saved--and take him back to Germania. Only one thing stands in his way: Rizpah, a Christian widow who has cared for the baby since his birth. Atretes did not count on Rizpah's fiery resistance to having "her son" taken away, nor is he prepared for the woman's strength and beauty. From their first meeting, the two are caught in a stormy battle of wills. This edition includes a foreword from the publisher, a preface from Francine Rivers, and discussion questions suitable for personal and group use. "Once more, Rivers transcends the genre." Reviews
"A literary gem and a Christian witness such as I've seldom, if ever, read." --Gilbert Morris, best-selling author"As Sure As the Dawnprovides compelling characters who reveal through their lives the destruction of anger and the power of forgiveness! This book is entertaining, yet powerful in its message." --Stephen Arterburn"Not since Frank Peretti's books about spiritual warfare has Christian fiction seen the power inherent in Francine Rivers's series." --Jane Orcutt, author of Lullabyand The Living Stone"As Sure As the Dawnis an emotionally driven drama that awakens in you the forgotten aspects of purity and tenderness. What exciting reading!" --Beverly LaHaye, past president and founder of Concerned Women for America"Every one of Francine's books has gone deep inside and changed me." --Robin Jones Gunn, best-selling author of the Glenbrooke series"Francine Rivers's Mark of the Lion series were some of the first Christian fiction I'd ever read as an adult. When I finished, I set the last book down with a huge sigh of satisfaction and said to myself, 'This is how Christian fiction should be written.'" --Kathleen Morgan, best-selling author of the Brides of Culdee Creek series

The book was exactly as described and arrived quickly. The only problem is a recurring one with this seller and other similar sellers - the book is poorly packaged in a plastic envelope and gets heavily bumped in shipping. I would like to see the books wrapped before shipment, but I understand this can't be done for cost reason. Luckily it isn't an expensive book, and I will continue to purchase basic books from this seller. A+++++

Book arrived quickly and is pretty close to "Very Good" description. Value priced and I'm glad I made the purchase as this is an excellent read. However, the book was mailed loose inside an over-sized plastic bag without any protection. Wrapped in a bubble wrap jacket would be a big help. A book can take a beating in USPS transit without some buffer. I can't tell if the bumps and dings were original or occurred in transit. I'd prefer to pay for shipping than have it sent with no protection.
