Informazioni sul prodotto

Giannini, nato a Napoli nel 1912, è morto all'età di 78 anni a Marciano. Nel '54 realizzò Carosello Napoletano, primo esempio di musical italiano e Palma d'oro dal Festival di Cannes. Ma il teatro era il terreno a lui più congeniale. Questa attività intensa e multipla (si dedicò anche all'opera) può fare pensare a un regista sempre presente e attivo. Ma Giannini nascondeva un segreto: ogni tanto spariva e per lunghi periodi nessuno parlava più di lui. Poi tornava e riprendeva la sua attività. Cercando un nuovo teatro, Giannini voleva formare un nuovo pubblico, non voleva l'eccezionalità, ma semplicemente "un buon teatro da fare tutti i giorni".
