    Two books on USA greatest 19 Century painter, Frederic Church, of all the many, many photographs only one painting is reproduced in colour ! Unbelievable. Obviously an academic venture from 1966 when colour was expensive fore publishers. Text of interest. so I will not return it : instead use Wikipedia for colour.
