A parody of violent cop shows and movies such as DIRTY HARRY and HUNTER, SLEDGE HAMMER had a short run on network television but has garnered a cult fanbase since its cancellation. David Rasche stars as Hammer, a humorless, trigger-happy cop who shoots first and asks questions later. After blowing up all of Los Angeles at the end of the first season, SEASON TWO begins with a disclaimer stating that the new episodes take place a few years earlier. This gives merely a hint of the off-beat, often politically incorrect humor that drove the program. This collection features all 19 episodes of the second season, which would prove to be SLEDGE HAMMER's last. Guest stars include character actors such as Ray Walston, Bill Bixby, Bud Cort, and 1980s music star Adam Ant.
