Travel back to 1953 and use your weapons, skills, and bravery to protect the United States from the alien race of Chimeras and one of its leaders, Daedalus, who want to exterminate the humans. Fans of the original Chimeran Resistance war game and casual Playstation video games fans alike will immensely enjoy this installment. This Sony game has a mature rating. In this PS3 Resistance game from Sony Computer Entertainment and Insomniac Games, you lead Hale to join and fight with the SRPA, a government organization that leads the Sentinels, the super soldiers fighting against the Chimeras from California to Chicago. However, like Hale, you don’t have to fight just the Chimeras, but the virus that’s spreading in his own body, as well. Team up with characters like Sergeant Ben Warner, Specialist Aaron Hawthorne, Russian scientist Fyodor Malikov, and Corporal Joseph Capelli to stop the Chimeras from destroying humanity and spreading the deadly virus. Resistance 2 Collector’s Edition for Playstation 3 has overhauled graphics that make the game look sharper, more detailed, and just as good as the cut-scenes. The superb voice acting helps the immersion experience significantly. The character has a variety of weapons to use on his mission, which consists of a mix of 1950s-era human technology and advanced alien weaponry and drones that will strike your imagination. During gameplay, which spans for over 10 hours and seven chapters, the player can only carry two weapons at any given time. However, the weapons are upgraded and expanded to offer more variety. In this installment of Resistance, there is no health bar. Instead, it uses an automatic regenerative health system, where the player must keep out of the line of fire for a certain amount of time in order to regain his health. The AI has also been improved to offer more challenging enemies and more complex fights as you progress through each level. The control is fluid and intuitive, and you’ll find yourself navigating the screens without difficulty. With Resistance 20’s responsive controls, getting immersed in the story and controlling Hale to lead the resistance attacks against Daedalus and the Chimeras could not be any easier. Resistance 2 keeps your adrenaline pumping whether you play by yourself or with friends. The game includes both single-player mode and multiplayer experiences. Multiplayer includes both co-op levels for up to eight players that run parallel to the main, single-player story, and a competitive campaign for up to 60 players to bring up the intensity to the maximum. Lead your squad in fast-paced, detailed attacks against Chimera, or tag along with Nathan Hale and explore the rich details of war-ravaged America on single-player mode in Resistance 2. Insomniac Games keeps its tradition of bringing the most exciting shooter games, and Resistance 2 Collector’s Edition for the PS3 is no exception.
