Synopsis
More than just a collection of some of Poul Anderson's most acclaimed works,Going for Infinityis both a celebration and a memoir of Anderson's distinguished sixty-year career in science fiction and fantasy. Along with several Hugo and Nebula Award-winning stories, Anderson also shares autobiographical musings, and fond memories as he looks back at a lifetime spent crafting many of science fiction's most memorable adventures. Between the short story and novel excerpts collected here, which range over the entire length of Anderson's career, he reminisces about his experiences, including his encounters with such peers and colleagues as John W. Campbell, Anthony Boucher, "Gordy" Dickson, Jack Vance, Clifford Simak, and Harlan Ellison. Going for Infinityprovides a firsthand look at six decades of science fiction and fantasy, as lived by one of the field's most honored contributors. From the moons of Saturn to the shores of an enchanted isle, the astounding breadth of Poul Anderson's imagination is on ample display throughout this once-in-a-lifetime collection, along with a personal glimpse into the man himself., More than just a collection of some of Poul Anderson's most acclaimed works, Going for Infinity is both a celebration and a memoir of Anderson's distinguished sixty-year career in science fiction and fantasy. - n***o (282)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseFirst time buying from this seller. Great communication. I bought 8 CDs in this order. Unfortunately, one of my CD cases got cracked in shipping. CDs were packaged wrapped in a mailing bag with paper cushioning the box not, not bubble wrapped. My seven other CDs were as pictured and described. Disc 1 in this set was the only one dinged. It's minor, but noticeable and not what you expect. Overall however, I am pleased with my purchase. I would order from them again, if extra precautions are takenPiano by Candlelight - 3 CD Set (CD, 1994, Madacy) (#335976401519)
- n***m (581)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseI don't rate items because why would I buy it if I know I like it? Anyway, the feedback is about the customer service and how well a transaction was handled. EXCELLENT seller. The item arrived timely, packaged correctly and intact so exactly as described. All aspects of customer service, especially communication (very important!) were great. DEF do business again. Thanks!!
