Synopsis
This dynamic approach to an exciting form of teaching and learning will inspire students to gain insights and complex thinking skills from the school library, their community, and the wider world. Guided inquiry is a way of thinking, learning, and teaching that changes the culture of a school into a collaborative inquiry community. Global interconnectedness calls for new skills, new knowledge, and new ways of learning to prepare students with the abilities and competencies they need to meet the challenges of a changing world. The challenge for the information-age school is to educate students for living and working in this information-rich technological environment. At the core of being educated today is knowing how to learn and innovate from a variety of sources. Through guided inquiry, students see school learning and real life meshed in meaningful ways. They develop higher order thinking and strategies for seeking meaning, creating, and innovating. Today's schools are challenged to develop student talent, coupling the rich resources of the school library with those of the community and wider world. How well are you preparing your students to draw on the knowledge and wisdom of the past while using today's technology to advance new discoveries in the future? This book is the introduction to guided inquiry. It is the place to begin to consider and plan how to develop an inquiry learning program for your students., Guided inquiry is a way of thinking, learning, and teaching that changes the culture of a school into a collaborative inquiry community. - t***t (305)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseAAAA++++ SELLER!!!! Book looks new. I've purchased from this seller before and they are awesome. Book was in better than described condition and the price was the best I could find anywhere. Shipping was very fast and book was nicely wrapped in a mylar envelope. My very highest recommendation for Half-Price-Books-Inc! I'll absolutely be buying from them again soon. Thank you-
- c***r (565)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseMost importantly, the book condition was as specified. Many thanks for that. Also, the book was delivered quickly from the USA to the UK. The price was "okay" for a rare and out-of-print book. However, one small point of constructive criticism: the packaging could have been a little bit better, in order to better protect the book in transit. The book was sent in a plastic/light bubble mailer only. It would have benefited greatly from cardboard packaging. Thank you for considering my suggestion.
- 7***- (22)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseThe item arrived in better condition than described. The book's appearance is at least very good condition. The packaging unfortunately had small holes in it. I live in an area that is prone to intense rain and those holes could have caused problems. The weather has been dry, fortunately. The price was a bargain! I'll work with this vendor again in the future. Please, get more protective bags.
